Teen Link accepts texts every day of the week from 6-9:30 pm to connect you with youth crisis specialists. On some occasions, it is possible that we may not be able to get to your chat before 10 pm if it is a busy night. If you need to talk to someone urgently, please call in for support.

You may give us as much or as little information as you like or you may choose to text anonymously.

On rare occasions, text may be unavailable.  If you are in a crisis, consider calling the Teen Link help line at 1-866-TEENLINK (833-6546) or 9-1-1 instead.

Some ground rules for Teen Link Text:

• Stay focused on the text and try to limit multi-tasking (like texting with friends, going on social media, doing homework, etc.).
• If you need to step away, please let us know and consider ending the text and coming back later.

Teen Link text is a safe,  nonjudgmental, peer-to-peer support system for youth. It is handled in the exact same way as our phone line, but is text-based. We handle all texts with the same protocols and policies as our phone line, and it is just as confidential and anonymous as the help line.
